Ed Tranham – Director
Ed has been actively involved in the setting up and development of a number of publishing and service companies within the Education sector for almost 25 years and has also undertaken a number of projects on behalf of corporate and private equity clients.
Before founding Meissa in 2007, Ed was at AIM listed Electric Word plc which he joined following the sale of his publishing company, Optimus Publishing. At Electric Word, Ed grew the company’s education business both organically and through acquisitions. Prior to joining Electric Word, he was also joint managing partner at Tranham Kington and was finance director at Cambridge Education Associates. Ed is also a founding director of Agena Limited, a high-stakes risk management software company.
Ben Gibbs – Associate Consultant
Ben has 15 years’ experience in the ‘business of education’, including roles in the Department for Education & Skills’ business development unit, as a business development manager at the University of Cambridge International Examinations, and as a marketing/PR consultant to UK independent schools. Alongside his role at Meissa, Ben is also Director of Restart-Ed, a consultancy offering a range of strategic planning, business development, fundraising and communications advisory services to schools and the industry that surrounds them.
Mridu Singhal – Research Associate
Mridu joined the team in February 2011 having recently worked in the New York office of the Institute for War & Peace Reporting, a not-for-profit organisation supporting journalists at the frontlines of conflict and crisis. Mridu supports Meissa’s competitor research, acquisition research and market analysis projects across the education industry and also provides a US dimension to these assignments.
